A two week summer boarding experience for boys and girls ages nine and up. The Summer Intensive Leadership Program @ NYMA offers a wide variety of summer academic and recreational activities that focus on providing tools for future success and creating differentiators in a student's academic resume. Our intensive program is geared towards hard-working students that are looking for personal growth and excellence. We have carefully designed the summer leadership program for student achievement and growth. Our dedicated staff help to develop skills like leadership, confidence, teamwork, time management, and organization in our safe, structured, positive, and fun learning environment.

New York Military Academy is a world renowned academy which attracts students not just from the United States, but from all over the world. ESL and non-ESL leaders integrate all students into one cohesive unit, teaching how to work together with students from other cultures. 0700 Reveille (wake up), Physical Training 0730 Morning Formation and Breakfast 0800 STEM Classes 0900 Drill and Ceremonies 1000 Leadership Training or Art (12 and under) 1100 Leadership Training or Science (12 and under) 1200 Lunch 1300 Survival Training (optional Natural Science during Session Alpha) 1530 Sports (basketball, frisbee, gym, ping pong, rifle- 12 and up, soccer, swimming, and tennis) 1700 Free Time 1800 Dinner 1900 Evening Activities (movie night, bonfires, open mic night, games, concerts, the famous students vs. Teachers basketball game, etc.) 2100 Quiet Time 2200 TAPS (lights out). Leadership Training Leadership training includes lectures given by our staff and local West Point instructors as well as practical application of these concepts. One entire day is dedicated to an outdoor leadership & team skills program. Students travel to the United States Military Academy at West Point where they have a campus tour in the morning followed by a demanding leadership reaction course led by a leadership instructor.

Our debate coach also teaches students how to speak in public while teaching discipline and self control. At the end of the program each student gives a speech with the best speech receiving an award. Survival Training An outdoor program which teaches students how to build fires, hike, tie knots, tent, and shelter-building.

Weekends New York City & Hudson Valley - Trips are offered where students have the option to leave campus in organized groups to benefit from either the New York Metro Area or the attractions of the beautiful Hudson Valley. Parents Day - Parents as well as friends and other family are invited for the Graduation Ceremony on the morning of the last Saturday. These are required for every participant. If NYMA does not have these forms prior to commencement of our Summer Program, that student will not be admitted.

The forms can be emailed (admissions@nyma.org) or faxed to us (845-534-7699). When a student arrives on Sunday, we must have all of the medical documents (a physical report, copy of valid in New York medical insurance, and immunization forms), the medical release, and the optional Kayaking form.
