In these cases, it is strongly recommended that you completely remove Raster Design 2007 from the system, and then attempt a new installation on the system. To uninstall Raster Design 2007 and remove any remnants of this product from the system.
Follow the steps outlined below: Important: Make sure you back up your customized Raster Design 2007 files before you implement the following procedures. Uninstall Raster Design 2007.
On the Start menu (Windows), click Settings Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs and click Open.
In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, select Raster Design 2007 and click Add/Remove. (For Windows 2000, click Change/Remove; for Windows XP Professional, click Remove). Click Yes when prompted to confirm that you want to completely remove the application and all of its components.
If you are prompted to remove shared files, click No to All, and then click Yes when prompted for confirmation to proceed. After the uninstall procedure is complete, click OK.

Reboot the computer. Remove any remaining Raster Design 2007 files. In Windows Explorer, delete the following Raster Design 2007 installation folder. Remove any remaining entries for Raster Design 2007 from the Windows registry. Delete the C: Documents and Settings All Users Application Data Autodesk ARD 2007 folder. If you are working with Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Me, your Windows T emp folder will usually be found in the C: Windows Temp directory.
If you are working with Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP, your Windows Temp folder will usually be found in the C: Documents and Settings Local Settings Temp directory. You should also close and temporarily disable any antivirus software that may be running on the system. You can use the End Task feature to close the antivirus software. Disabling the software from the system tray may not be sufficient.
Antivirus software may be used to block certain activities (access to the registry, adding/removing/updating DLL files, and so on) that are seen as suspicious, even though these activities are common when installing or removing programs. Several antivirus programs can be disabled by right-clicking on their taskbar icon and clicking Disable on the shortcut menu.
For more information about disabling your antivirus software, refer to the vendor of that software. To verify an antivirus program is not running in the background as a TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident Program) In Window 95, Windows 98, and Windows Me: In Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP: Now, you can reinstall Raster Design 2007 on the system. Exit the Registry Editor. Reboot the computer. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. In the Close Programs window, select the antivirus program and click End Task. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
